Providing a community for artists to meet and share their love of art

Welcome to Seattle CoArts

We are an organization that prides ourselves on creating a community for all visual artists to meet and share our love of art.  We do this through monthly meetings with a featured artist, regular workshops and an annual paintout, friendly monthly competitions (optional) and an annual juried show.  We welcome you to join us as we boost our work through education and exhibit opportunities.

FALL 2024  Local Workshop

Watercolor with Mixed Media

Eve Ingraham

Get ready to play!

Eve will be exploring with you many different ways to expand your watercolor skills. This will not be a traditional class. Eve will demo different techniques and then send you off into various exploratory centers to try them out using supplies in new ways.

The first demo,we will learn how to set up our sea scene composition with masking to prepare for a watercolor pour. While that process is drying, Eve will begin another demo about different ways to add texture to your paintings. In this process you will go to the different centers to use the materials that she has demonstrated. You will make a ringed sampler of the different techniques to take home. One of the centers will be the watercolor pour station.

On the second day, Eve will show us different ways to do a more abstract composition. Eve will demo different mark making tools and methods. We will add these techniques to both our abstract painting and our poured watercolor.

There will be a detailed supply list but many of the things will be provided in class. The list will give you options of things to bring from home.

You will come away with great ideas to add to your painting repertoire. What could be more fun!
