Seattle Co-Arts Scholarship
2026 Scholarship Award in Memory of: Keith Artz
The applications are open for the 2026 Scholarship.
Seattle Co-Arts, a non-profit organization committed to encouraging creative and artistic development, will be awarding a $3000 scholarship this year in memory of Keith Artz. Qualified art students currently enrolled in a comprehensive 2-to-4-year fine art program with an emphasis on 2-dimensional work will be eligible.
ALL ELIGIBLE ARTS STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY
Organized in 1949 with Margaret Mattocks as its founding President, Seattle Co-Arts was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1950. Seattle Co-Arts was founded primarily to encourage creativity and develop originality in dedicated artists.
In 1988, Seattle Co-Arts honored its founding President by voting to award annual art scholarships to deserving student artists who are currently engaged in furthering their art education towards a career.

To be considered, applicants must be currently enrolled in a
comprehensive 2-to-4-year fine art program in King, Pierce, or Snohomish County with an emphasis on 2-dimensional work and have completed at least one year of that program by June 30, 2025 with at least one year remaining.Applicants must provide all requested information and:- a resume
- a letter of recommendation from a current instructor
- five examples of your completed 2-dimensional, hand created, original fine artwork (no more than two digitally generated pieces may be included)
The scholarship recipient will be expected to attend (via Zoom) an
interview session and our organization’s June 24th meeting to accept
the award.
